FAQs

below is a list of our frequently asked questions and answers.

Describe your approach?

Our photographers all have individual skill sets and interests within their practice. Some photographers and videographers will have a more hands-on approach than others and our choosing of the perfect photographer or videographer for your event depends entirely on your brief. For example, some of our clients prefer a photographer or videographer who can go completely unnoticed by their guests and capture beautiful candid moments. Whereas other clients prefer a photographer or videographer who will actively engage with their guests and create posed portraits and shots. We will discuss your requirements at length with you before deciding who will be the best fit for the job and rest assured we will always have a photographer or a videographer available for your event.

Where are you based?

Our team are mostly based in London. However, we do have team members in Manchester, Bristol, Brighton, Cornwall, the Midlands, France and Los Angeles. We have been asked to shoot birthday parties in Qatar and also corporate events in Paris. If you require photography services worldwide we can arrange this for you. Of course, we will charge basic travel and accommodation expenses.

What equipment do you use?

All of our photographers and videographers are required to shoot on industry standard equipment. It is an essential requirement of the agency that the photographers attend each shoot with this equipment and ensure to have a second camera body with them at all times as a failsafe.

Do you have insurance?

Yes - some venues do ask that our photographers provide evidence of public liability insurance which they are more than happy to do. This is also a requirement of Raccoon London, that each photographer must have insurance to work for the agency.

What happens if your photographer or videographer is ill on the day of your event?

Fortunately, this rarely happens although we recognise that sickness and accidents are always a possibility. We have a vast network of photographers and videographers in London who we can contact very quickly and are confident that we can have a suitable replacement for you at very short notice.

Who owns the copyright on the images?

Raccoon London holds the copyright for the imagery although you are free to use them for personal usage. An exchange of copyright can be negotiated but must always be discussed in detail before this happens.

Do I need to feed your team on the day?

If our photographers or videographers are on location for longer than 4 hours and there is an opportunity to provide them with refreshments, we kindly ask that you allocate some time aside for them to be able to eat and have a break.
